Coffee, Cake, ‘n’ Craft – Mosaic Orb Art in New Romney, Kent
Description
This hands-on mosaic workshop focuses on designing and creating a decorative mosaic orb for outdoor display. Working on a spherical base, you will learn how to plan a curved mosaic design and apply glass tiles in a way that allows colour and pattern to flow evenly around the surface. During the session, you will be guided through arranging your chosen glass tiles, securing them in place and finishing the piece with grout suitable for outdoor use. You can choose from a wide range of colours and styles, allowing you to create either a bold, eye-catching feature or a more subtle decorative piece. Once complete, your orb can be displayed in a variety of ways, including on a garden spike, hung from a tree, or floated on water. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience of mosaics. With a three-hour session and small group sizes, there is plenty of time to work carefully and at a comfortable pace, with step-by-step guidance available throughout. Held as part of our Coffee, Cake, ’n’ Craft series, the session offers a relaxed, sociable environment where you can focus on the creative process without pressure. All tools and materials are provided.
