Two day wood carving course at Middleton Hall
Description
On this practical, hands-on course, you will learn to use traditional wood carving techniques to create a carving from limewood. No previous experience is required; you will be able to work at your own pace on a range of potential projects suitable for different experience levels. Stage-by-stage instructions and demonstrations will guide you through every element of the process towards a high quality finished carving. The course runs from 10am - 4pm, over TWO DAYS. Geraint Lloyd, the tutor, has 25 years’ experience working in both a commercial setting, carving architectural and sculptural pieces, together with teaching at multiple venues up and down the country during that time. Yes the course runs on 2 consecutive days. The listing on craft courses shows the first of the two days but the course is a 2 day workshop. We often run a 2 day course and then another 2 day course back to back. The date for the next course sometimes confuses people as this is for the first day of the next course.
