She prepares and delivers a well structured course, which results in everyone being able to produce an end piece which one can be proud of. In all honesty it is the best course I have ever attended. "My dad and I had an amazing day with Jo, making our hare sculptures. I honestly didn’t think it was possible for me to achieve what I did, but Jo talked us through each stage of the process, and explained everything so clearly, we both ended up with a masterpiece! Jo made us feel so welcome in her home, and the workshop is in such beautiful surroundings too. It was a truly relaxing and wonderful day and we definitely want to do another workshop! "A lovely day spent creating amazing slate art. Jo is a wonderful inspiring teacher with bags of patience! I would recommend anyone to do one of these workshops, set in beautiful surroundings in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. If you take part in a workshop, you also have the opportunity to purchase a kit to take home. They are amazing value for money. A small warning though.. one workshop is not enough, they are addictive and you will be back for more!!"

"I have done a few courses with Jo now and her courses are among the best I have been on. Yesterday was my second slate day course so having done two small pieces I embarked on one larger piece, as always the day was very well structured and paced which made for a wonderful relaxed and enjoyable experience, with Jo’s expert guidance I ended up with a wonderfully pleasing piece of artwork to join and compliment my two smaller pieces made on the first course. As always when I have been to Jo’s there is always something to inspire so I will be back. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed making my hare with Jo, and am very proud of the final result. The class was well paced, and the process was talked through in a way we could all understand. The class size was perfect, ensuring Jo could come round and help with the different steps as needed, and we all came out at the end with a finished hare! The pre-class info and directions were also really helpful and clear, which was invaluable."
