Sea Glass Drilled Jewellery Workshop

Description

Have you spent the summer on the beach collecting treasures? Why not bring your favourite sea glass pieces along for a 2 hour workshop where we shall introduce you to drilling your glass to make lovely pendants, a lasting reminder of your summer. (Please remember that not all sea glass is suitable for drilling, so please don't be disappointed if your most favourite piece cant be used, we will have plenty of options for you to choose from) You will spend time getting used to the equipment and practising drilling holes in some of our sea glass. Once you feel ready to tackle a finished piece, you can either choose from your own favourite sea glass or a piece from our collection to create a gorgeous pendant.

What's included in the price?

All materials and everything you need to practise and make a finished piece, including a silver necklace chain and pinch bail, practice and jewellery-quality sea glass and 2 hours of tuition. The groups are small to ensure everyone receives plenty of tutor time.

Hello, my name is Clare and I am pleased to offer workshops and classes in my studio. I offer a range of courses, from short taster sessions, half or full day workshops and 6 week courses. Here at Halton Village Silver Studio we work in silver and copper, using both traditional and modern metalsmith techniques, and enjoy using enamel to add colour. My workshops include a range of Jewellery making but I also enjoy teaching other metal smith sessions including making metal plant labels, spoons and bowls, as well as creating metal flowers. My studio has all the equipment you need to create some lovely pieces to take home, and each session includes all of the materials you will need.
