My name is Laura Barnes and I have my own studio in an original mill warehouse in the moor town of Todmorden, West Yorkshire. I run all my craft courses from here and create my animal portrait commissions. With 26 years experience in commercial mosaic and other crafts, including working with the National Trust and Crafts Council, I now offer tutoring to small groups. I have a fantastic mix of materials and tools and a very spacious workshop where I run classes in mosaic, leaded stained glass and willow weaving all year round.

"Spent a couple of days with Laura just after New Year to complete my first course in leaded stained glass. Laura was very patient with me and guided me through the process with her obvious skills working with glass. I was surprised how well I managed to get into the different methods of construction and completed a very nice glass window with a butterfly motif. Very interesting that the methodology has not changed in hundreds of years. Thank you Laura"
