Tessa reviewed: Wooden mechanical toy (automata) making

"I took my bestie for a day Automata making for her birthday. It was just me and her which was perfect. We had the best time, honestly, amazing. Stef is a wonderful, patient tutor who made the whole day so relaxed! I don’t think beginners even covers how inexperienced we were. I am not artistic in any way shape or form but he just bought out the best in both of us, I was dreading painting mainly because of my lack of artistry but I was thrilled with my end result and I have never seen my friend so happy with her achievement too. Unusually, Stef doesn’t seems to have course dates on here, I sent him a message to see if there was any chance of attending day course on a specific date and he agreed. So don’t be shy to contact on here as just ask. It was a really fun, relaxed and fulfilling day. Don’t let anything put you off, if we can do it, anyone can!!! "

Sallyann reviewed: Stained Glass Mosaic Workshop with April Pebble

"Such a great course, I had great fun in a lovely environment. April really makes you very welcome. I have gained some excellent new skills. What’s more you leave with your own mosaic panels to treasure. I would highly recommend. "

Hannah Brown reviewed: Lampwork Glassmaking Creative Workshop

"This was my first time trying lampwork glass, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience was much more enjoyable than I imagined. The studio felt clean, organised, and well prepared, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The session moved at a good pace and nothing felt confusing or rushed. When questions came up, they were answered clearly and in a way that actually made sense, even if you had no prior experience. Mistakes were treated as part of the process, which helped keep the atmosphere relaxed. Working with the flame was surprisingly calming once you got used to it, and it was very satisfying to see the glass slowly take shape. Leaving with a finished piece that I made myself was a great feeling. I’d happily recommend this to friends or anyone curious about trying something creative and different. It’s a solid experience and feels well worth the time."

Hari Berrow reviewed: Daisy Picture: Wet Felting Workshop

"This is my second course with Svetlana and yet again it was brilliant. I bought this one as a Christmas present for my mother who, after a few hours learning, is now utterly obsessed with felting. Svetlana is knowledgable, kind and generous and always works hard to ensure you’re taking away something to be proud of. "

Wool & Silk Art Studio responded:

"Thank you so much for such a beautiful review 🤍 It truly means the world to me. I absolutely loved having you back again, and it makes me so happy to hear that your mum has fallen in love with felting too — that is the best Christmas present ever 🥰 Watching that spark appear is why I do what I do. Thank you for your kind words about my teaching and for trusting me with such a special gift for your mum. I’m so proud of what you both created and I can’t wait to welcome you again for another creative adventure 💫 Kind wishes, Svetlana "

MJ reviewed: Learn to sew a tote bag using a till roll technique

"Although till roll patchwork is a simple concept. The hints and tips given during the workshop really help to take the mystery out of putting different patterns together. Making it a wonderful method to use up material trimming from other projects. Building it into a bag makes it easier to grasp how useful a toolkit is to make other products. The team are really helpful and supportive of attendees and keen to ensure everyone achieves what they want to do. A great day out. "
