Animal | Pet Paper Collage | A Fun & Relaxing Mixed Media Workshop Suffolk | one-2-one or Max 4 Students
Description
This relaxed and enjoyable mixed media paper collage workshop is suitable for beginners, improvers, and experienced makers. It is designed as a creative day out where you can slow down, experiment, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making. The day begins with playful exploration. You will start by creating a collection of beautiful handmade papers and textures using paint, mark making, layering, and simple mixed media techniques. This process is extremely enjoyable and gently draws you into a creative flow, helping you feel confident and engaged before moving on to collage crafting. Once your papers are ready, you will use them to create an animal collage. This might be inspired by a pet, a remembered animal, or a wild creature that interests you. You can work from a provided template, adapt an image, or bring a simple reference of your own. Clear demonstrations and individual guidance will support you throughout the day, allowing you to work in a way that feels relaxed and intuitive. Paper collage is particularly accessible because the process is forgiving and the results are immediate and vibrant. It is ideal for anyone who thinks they are not artistic, as well as for those who want to loosen up their practice and try something new. The workshop takes place in a peaceful studio set within a beautiful garden, next to a pond. The calm setting, small group size, and friendly atmosphere make this a genuinely restorative creative experience. The studio accommodates a maximum of four people, ensuring plenty of personal attention, and workshops are never cancelled due to low numbers…and are often just one-to-one. Workshops run from 11am to 4pm and can often be arranged on weekdays as well as weekends. Please use the message the tutor button to enquire about dates or group bookings. Additional information: The course price shown is for one-to-one tuition. Small group bookings of up to four people are available, with a reduced fee for groups of three or four. Please get in touch to arrange this. Landscape and seascape collage workshops are also available. Please message me if you would prefer one of these options. There is plenty of parking available. Wheelchair access is possible with prior arrangement, as there are two small steps into the studio.

Maker
I am a professional artist and sculptor. I work in both 2d and 3d mediums. I recently was asked to do some workshops for a group of young students and I loved the experience of sharing my knowledge. I then went on to host a workshop as a hen day for friends of mine. This then led me here to continue the journey. Art is such an enjoyable subject. I regard myself to be so lucky to do what I do. I want to pass on the amazing feeling of pride and achievement that you can experience on these courses
