My designs are mainly influenced by geometric shapes and Art Deco design. I've built up a wide range of skills and now have the luxury of time and space to make my own products and to experiment with techniques and styles. Ultimately though, I love passing on my passion for leather craft to other people by running a series of workshops. I cater for both individuals with 1 to 1 tuition and groups at my Essex studio or larger groups at other venues so email me if you'd like more information.
"Absolutely brilliant course. As a novice sewer, I was nervous I would make a hash out of everything, but Rosanna was really supportive. Each step was broken down and explained carefully. I came away with a really lovely bag that looks professionally made and I can be proud of. Highly recommend. "
Rosanna Clare responded:
"Thanks for the lovely review Natasha! So glad you enjoyed the course and hope you get a lot of use out of the bag in 2026! Best wishes, Rosanna x"
"I had a great time doing this workshop, and am so pleased with the finished product. I didn’t have any previous experience working with leather and only very minimal sewing experience but Rosanna was on hand to help at every stage. The workshop is a busy day, with lots to learn and lots of different steps, but it was so satisfying to see the bag coming together and go home with the finished article. For anyone who wants to do a course where you can enjoy the process but also take home something you can actually use everyday, I would really recommend this course. "
Rosanna Clare responded:
"Thank you Esme for your lovely review - so gla dyou enjoyed the day - I hope you enjoy using your rucksack!"
"I had a fantastic morning doing the leather accessories course. Rosanna is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I loved the accessories I made and learnt a lot! Would definitely recommend the course to friends. "
"I attended the half day leather belt course. Excellent tutor who explained all the tools and techniques and more. Was presented with choice after choice. What colour leather, stitching, rivets or stitching. I supplied my own buckle which I have made into a lovely new belt. I have faith this will last a lot longer than the modern bonded leather ones you buy. Also embossed my initials. Got me thinking about what else I could make in leather. I bought her book, which explains all the tools and techniques. And also a list of leather suppliers. An eye opener of a course. Thank you. "
