"I thought I'd start off my New Year with a new interest and had been looking at Mandalas for a while. I've done a few courses via Craft Courses on different themes, so it seemed a good place to look for Mandala drawing. Great communications from Kathryn which was very helpful for both of us as it was just me attending the workshop. Kathryn explained a bit about the history of Mandalas and then we got started. Kathryn uses slides to show each stage of the Mandala and I found that very helpful as she can go back to previous slides if you need to. Kathryn's very patient and waited to ensure I'd understood each element before moving on. I liked the fact that this workshop was 1 3/4 hours as I felt this is just the right time for keeping concentration, though I'd probably be OK with one a bit longer, once I've mastered the basics. Also, I can see how getting into Mandala drawing could benefit mental health as you become very absorbed in it and forget everything else around you. I really enjoyed the workshop and ended up with a drawing which looks pretty much like a Mandala :-) and will definitely look to learn more about Mandalas this year. I would certainly recommend Kathryn's workshop as a great introduction to this unique craft. "

"A group of 7 of us did a bespoke workshop. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Organisational was easy and the course was run brilliantly. Everyone had a great time and came away with new skills and stained glass pane too. Also, the facility was excellent, dedicated workspaces, all the tools and equipment you would need. A very entertaining day. Kate was really good, explained everything very clearly, demonstrated everything very clearly, and was helpful and encouraging throughout. Kate is a brilliant teacher, very engaging, and able to relate effectively to people with varied skill levels - highly recommend a day with her! "

"I received this as a Christmas gift and thoroughly enjoyed my time on the automata course with Penlan Crafts. Stef is a great tutor, he made the day feel really unpressured and put me at ease. I had a lot of fun, learnt loads and came away with a toy that I am really proud of, which will be gifted on to my hreat nephew. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone, Stef was great and provided lots of encouragement and the right amount of support and guidance. Thanks Stef for a lovely day."

"We bought this workshop as a Christmas gift for my mother and had a lovely few hours making some earrings. Charlotte was very generous with her time and knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the earrings we made are just lovely (much more beautiful than we thought they would be!). I have a nickle allergy but have had no issues wearing the earrings so I assume the parts in contact with the ear (which we did not make but were attached/soldered on) are also of high quality. Looking forward to trying out some of the other workshops in the future. "

"We came out of this course with mixed feelings. Zoe was very nice, explained a lot of interesting details on enamel, and helped us make our own enamel jewlerry which came out nicely. However, the course was very short and rather simple. For a two-hour, quite pricy course, we ended up working for about one hour, including design and explanantions. The actual craft we did was rather simple, without much technique to learn from Zoe. We bascically painted on a delicate silver template, using the enamel frit, and put it in the oven Would reccomend going again if the course was slightly more engaging."
